Hi!

My name is Jeannie and I own J-bird bakery, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Baking has always played a part in my family's life.

Family business

Our premises on Bloomfield Avenue was once my Granny Betty's Bakery. When I was little I loved going to "Granny's shop" to help out... I was entrusted with important tasks like cracking eggs and opening mars bars for mars bar krispie buns (yum!). It's really lovely to continue the family business under the same roof at number 129.

Art and design

I studied design at art college and so it is very important to me that my cupcakes, bakes and treats not only taste delicious but also look amazing as well.
